New Year...

Ok...I've been visiting some blogs and realize that I need to start sketching again! I've been distracted with painting so this is one of my goals for the new year lol. New sketches, new paintings, new scrabble tile charms, new greeting cards, new computer and new fitness goals!....Maybe I'll try to forward my greeting creations to card companies again. I tried that twice and gave up years ago.

I just have to figure out a schedule and stick with it!! >.< Wish me luck lol.

No more excuses...I need to stop using work as an excuse from being creative. I'll start a blog for my sketch work for you lovely followers to view. I've cheated by using old drawings for this post lol. Notice the dates on them :p This is what I'm talking about lol...I'm a bit behind on graphite creations.

I have a question for you all...What inspires you in your creations? How do you keep those creative juices flowing? What are your goals for 2012? :D Share! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Happy New Years~Stay Safe.

Happy New Year B :)

Good luck with your sketching goal and submitting illustrations to card companies.

I think keeping up with creative goals when you have a day job and other commitments is so difficult (I know I struggle) but having a schedule should help.

Looking forward to reading your posts in 2012 :)

Thanks Tessa! Yes it is difficult lol-mostly I want to crash after work. I'm trying to be more positive and committed to my goals this year.

All the best to you in 2012 too! xox!

I think every one of us artists has the same problem when we're holding down day jobs, so you're not alone. It's so easy just to watch TV after dinner and de-program.
The catch-22 is when you're between jobs and have actual time to focus on your art all you care about is finding another job.

Thanks Tracy! It's been awhile since I've sketched up new work. Been too long that it's scary lol-I'll post something new soon. Thanks for the comment :)
